The Statement of Persons Nominated (SOPN) has been published by Cardiff Council and all the candidates added to the “Who Can I Vote For?” service.

I’m adding some extra information to the Local Elections 2022 page.

Candidate Statements

Candidates can submit a “Statement to Voters” to get their message out and provide an email address if they’d like to receive questions from constituents privately.

Cardiff Council use “Who Can I Vote For?” on their “Find your local councillor and nearest polling station” page.

Register to Vote

The deadline to register is 11:59pm on 14 April to vote in the local elections on 5 May. There is more information on the Electoral Commission website.

Votes at 16

Young People aged 14 to 15 can now register to vote, and 16 and 17 years old can now vote in Welsh Local Government elections.
